Which Owl?

I spent tonight designing this owl. Obviously I have more work to do. The bottom of that body needs to be expanded out a bit and his wings need to be adjusted. But other then that I think he is adorable?

Owl number two is a pattern I bought.

Which one are you digging?

THE QUILT

I'M DONE...I'M DONE...I'M DONE

When I started this project it was because I wanted to play with my cricut and I wanted to practice a certain stitch on my sewing machine. And then it grow and grow. Photos do not do this quilt justice. I absolutely adore this quilt. So in love with it. But sadly I decided long ago if I got the quilt done, I would donate it to the school auction. So sometime this week it will be handed over, and hopefully it will bring in some money for the school?

But of course I had to show off the quilt. So wish you all could see it in person. Would you believe that this cost maybe 30 dollars to make? I had to buy backing fabric, and I had to buy the batting. Everything else came from scraps.

I'M DONE...I'M DONE...I'M DONE...

I Made A Tie!

Yep, it's true, only took two hours, but dang it I made a tie. It was sooooo easy, it only took two hours, because I have three kids, and I read the instructions word for word, and I had the help of a seven year old.

But it was so easy and I could easily sit here and make many more. Check out the fabric, safety pens. Picked it up at the sewing expo. I also picked up the pattern at the sewing expo so I won't be sharing it.

Cool Huh?

So Ethan can't wait to wear it to school tomorrow.

Gluten Free Mobile Two

Well sadly Gluten Free Mobile retired about 3 weeks ago. It was very sad and very sudden, but not totally unexpected. So here enters Gluten Free Mobile Two. I can't tell you how many times I have lost this van all ready. It was time to decorate it.

Here is the back of the van, very settle. I have more to add so give me time. I have just started.

Isn't this pretty? I'm so in love with my circut. It's amazing how much joy that machine has brought me.

Here is a close up. I have this on both sides.

More to come....

How Cool Are These?

So I went to a bazaar on Saturday and found a magnet. This little 2x2 magnet and looking at it and looking at it, thought I could do that! So with my cricut, (gotta love my cricut) I cut out some shapes and today I ran to Home Depot and for 5 bucks got 36 pieces of tile. Now a lot cheaper then I thought. Last time I saw these they were 10 bucks a sheet. I ran to Fred Meyer and got magnets and tonight in a few seconds I had 24 magnets. How cool are these?

I am donating these to Ethan's school, Ethan's class runs a store to raise money for their up coming field trip.

So after doing these the boys are SO excited and saying we can do these for this person and that person. So every family member and neighbor watch out.

Total cost is .39 cents for each magnet. I have rolls and rolls of vinyl I was given to me so I only had to buy tile and magnets.

So easy and so super cheap! And you know I love cheap!
