Cole

So during the summer we do what we call summer school/home school. Last Thursday, my youngest (4 years old) proclaimed he is now a kindergartner and he will now be going to school with his brothers and that was it.

So hubby today, gave Cole some pre-k work to do, and he told daddy, NO. I want kindergarten work. He said but you need to know your shapes, Cole said this was a square, a circle, and so on. Daddy said well OK then. Kindergartners do letters. So Cole sat down and did his letters. And boy it ticked him off when he messed up one. But he did really good. This kept him busy for hours, as he had to get it perfect.

Cole then got his hands on a sketch pad and that was all he needed for the rest of the day. My have a budding artist as well. Cole has all ready informed us tomorrow he wants math!

The Circus Came To Town

So if you blinked you probably missed the circus that breezed in and out of town. We were dodging rain that day, but luckily the rain stopped and held off so the kids didn't get wet.

At the end of preschool, they put on a circus. Cole was so beyond excited. He had a blast.

The entrance.

Lifting weights, because all lions must keep in shape.

And all lions drum to their own beat right?

More exercising.

The end. How I love my brothers.

Lion Costume

So yeah, I have a couple of crazy weeks coming up, and one of them is Cole is in a preschool circus. He is a lion. So me being through this a few times before, I know I have a lion costume on hand. Well WRONG as I went to go and look for it today, and we have come to realize we cut off the tail to use as a monkey tail last year for Tucker. And who knows what we did with the costume after that. We tore the house apart, but there is no lion costume in this house/shed/under the house.

So what is a mom to do? Well let's just whip one up? After a minute on google I had an idea. I went tearing through the house, no one's clothes were safe. I need a costume and I need it by Tuesday, yeah two days from now, Tuesday.

Found this shirt in the to toss box, really I don't toss clothes I put them in my sewing pile. So I turned it inside out, to get the furry going.

The pants were another issue, after tearing through the house I didn't find any pants I could tear up. So the tail is pinned to the shorts. See I can compromise.

So I dug out my felt and picked out four good colors, I then cut the felt into strips, and put the shirt on the sewing machine, as I'm sewing, I'm adding the felt, by loping it and sewing as I went. Honestly it took less then an hour to get this done.

And now I think he will be the Coolest Lion at the circus.

That blur is a dog.

Look's Who's Cooking

My Little Naked Chef was in the kitchen tonight making dinner. Oh how Cole loves to cook.

Notice these are waist high shots. I don't call him my little naked chef for nothing.

Tonights dinner was Tuna Noodle Cassarole, with no tuna.

The Happiest Kid

Is this not the happiest child in the world at this moment? Santa came to preschool tonight to say hi to the kids. All the kids got to hop on his lap to say hi and to tell him what they wanted for Christmas.

What a smile.

Cole and Vilitigo

So this is my son Cole, he has Vilitigo. He doesn't know he has vilitigo, he just knows he is a 3 1/2 year old boy having fun with life.

So I have to pose a question here. Cole starts preschool in a few short weeks. You see vilitigo when you look at Cole. His hands, legs, arms, back, every place but the face.

I'm sure kids will point this out to him so really I want to try and sit down with him and explain to him why he looks like that. I don't think I should wait until a kid says something and it shocks him that he does look different. I don't think I should let it go and hope the kids don't mention anything.

In all honestly I don't know what to do? Ideas?

I'm thinking of telling him that God made all of us different and this is how he made you different.

In the photo that is a picture of Coles hand. It's not a clear photo but you get the idea.

My Little Naked Chef

Dang my baby is growing up. Here is my baby cooking away in the kitchen. He cooked dinner tonight. Lately this child has been in the kitchen with me every time I am in there cooking or baking. He helps with everything. Tonight's dish spaghetti and meatballs. Num Num!

So here he is my little naked chef. Can't teach them too early can ya? Who needs Jamie when you have a Cole?
